To mark the 99th anniversary of Majeediyya School, an archway (gidige) has been installed above the main entrance (on Medhuziyaaraiy Magu) by the Majeediyya Muskulhi Dharivarunge Jamiyya (MMDJ), standing as a visible tribute to the school’s enduring legacy.
Conceptualized, funded, and delivered by MMDJ, the structure features the school’s first badge on one side and the current badge on the other, symbolizing continuity across generations. The outward-facing message, “Towards 100 Years of Nation Building,” reflects the journey ahead, while the inward-facing side bears the school’s motto, “Nihil Labore Difficile,” reinforcing its values within.
The archway was officially revealed at a bugle call at 00:00 hrs on 19 April 2026, marking exactly 99 years since the school’s establishment on 19 April 1927. The occasion was attended by members of MMDJ, and school staff. The President of MMDJ ,Mr. Ahmed Afaal, and the Principal of the Majeediyya School, Mr. Ahmed Mujahid, delivered their remarks at the occasion before they jointly revealed the archway at the bugle call.
This installation builds on MMDJ’s proud role in supporting the school’s heritage, including its leadership in conceptualizing and delivering the “Sahthavee Bina” monument, inaugurated on 25 August 2024 as part of the school’s centenary journey. Together, these contributions stand as enduring symbols of alumni commitment, pride, and a shared responsibility in carrying the school towards its centenary and beyond.
